Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type for this computer

If you are experiencing a network error in your home or office network it may be a simple issue in your Windows sharing. Follow the below steps to fix the issue.

  • Have you turned off Password protection?
  • Go to Advanced Sharing Settings from Network and Sharing Center. Either from your WiFi connection or wired or By clicking Start, Control Panel and then Network and Sharing Center.
  • Click Change Advanced Sharing Settings.
  • Make sure File and Printer Sharing is Turned On and Password Protected Sharing is Turned Off.
